no photoMaruf Awad has been part of the Windham community as the owner of the Windham Sparkle Market since 1982. He and his wife of 24 years, Sherry, have three sons Mark, Samer and Tarik. Maruf is a kind and generous man who has continued to support our school system and its programs throughout the years. Maruf has contributed to both our athletic and academic programs. He has provided hundreds of jobs for students and athletes in the past twenty years. Maruf has made numerous donations of money, groceries, advertising in our programs, and use of his property for bake sales for our school district. There has not been a time in which Maruf has ever said “no” to anyone who has asked for help and he never expects anything in return. In the past Maruf has been honored by our community with an honorary dinner and was awarded the Outstanding Community Award. It is truly an honor to induct Maruf Awad as an honorary member of the Windham Athletic Hall of Fame.
